As part of its 175th anniversary, the RCA is presenting a major exhibition exploring key facets of the College over the last three centuries. The Perfect Place to Grow will provide a fascinating insight into the world’s oldest art and design school in continuous operation, revealing the politics and polemics behind the perennial question of how Britain should train artists and designers, and interrogating the purpose of publicly funded art schools. Exhibits will include historic and contemporary works of art and design by leading RCA alumni and staff, including Ian Dury, Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Zandra Rhodes, David Hockney, Thomas Heatherwick and Tracey Emin.
